Abstract. The authors substantiated effectiveness of the use of the floating method in the construction and reconstruction of navigable hydraulic engineering structures gave examples of practical implementation of the construction of transport and energy hydraulic engineering installation built on inland channels and coastal zones of the seas of the Russian Federation and the overall parameters of the used floating elements; the experience is generalized and the analysis of the construction methodology is carried out; proposed variants of environmentally friendly technologies for increasing the useful dimensions and composition of shipping locks as part of the Unified Deep-Water System of the European part of the Russian Federation.
